Identified Design Issue

A landing between the sliding door and ramp will not be provided.

Departure from Deemed-to-Satisfy Provisions

Due to the spatial constraints within the building, a 1450mm deep landing will not be provided between the sliding door and the commencement of the ramp.

The Performance Solution

The sliding door will be automated with a power-operated device meeting AS 5007 to offset the reduced landing. This solution further enhances accessibility by removing the need for manual door operation.
